Longest tennis match ever has ended after 11 hours 5 minutes. Wimbledon 2010 first round match between qualifier Nicolas Mahut of France and 23rd-seeded John Isner of Tampa, Fla. played on the 22nd, 23rd of June, 2010 and continued on June 24th, was finished at 4–6, 6–3, 7–6(7), 6–7(3), 68–70 in the fifth set.
The duration (11 hours and 5 minutes) and the number of games (183 games) of the fifth set is the longest set in history by both time and games; and the fifth set itself was longer than the previous longest match at the end of the second day.
