Do you want to know a really cool thing you can do with a telescope? Just to let you know, it is not spying on your neighbor 10 houses down the street or trying to look in the bedroom of the gorgeous girl that lives next door.
The answer is look at the stars and take pictures of them.
Now this can not be done with just a regular telescope. You have to get one that has this ability built in to it. One of these is called a discovery telescope. It can obtained from a reputable dealer in a store or online.
The things you can with the pictures you take with it are pretty cool to. You might plaster the ceiling of the bedroom to make it look like you are star gazing while laying there. You could put the pictures in your window facing in either direction. If the girl next store has a favorite picture of the stars and you can somehow find out what it is, her attention just might be something you can get by putting that picture facing towards her house.
The advantage of having a telescope that you can take pictures with is this. It will get your kids more interested in looking out into space. This is because they can take a picture and have something tangible in their hands to look at whenever they want. They will want to look up into the sky and find more things to take pictures of. How cool do you think their friends will think that they are. Your kids will have awesome pictures of outer space in a facebook album. They will want more too.
Get your kids interested in something besides being a couch potato.
Get them into a hobby. Get them interested in the stars by taking pictures that you just can’t get with a digital camera. Let them use a discovery telescope or one that has the ability to take pictures of the universe.
