Would you believe that these photos was taken a 100 years ago? I don’t think so, but it is true. Photographer Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii traveled around Russia in the period between 1909 and 1912 and captured some amazing photos. They have a great quality because he used a specialized camera with red, blue and green filters. This allowed him to “fix” the black and white photos so they have some kind of colors to them. The images are from Southern and Central Russia, and you can almost feel the mood in the pictures. The thing we like the most is the colors because all of us are of course used to black and white photos from that time, but now that they have color it’s like you’re almost there, you feel closer to the situations on the pictures, and it’s almost like you’ve been there. What a talented photographer! Colorful photos has been captured other places too, and you can see that in these amazing photos.
